Laurie Montour grew up in Southern California, surrounded by the creativity of her family of artists and inspired by the natural beauty of the coastline from San Clemente to Newport Beach. Drawn to the arts from an early age, she pursued ballet and acting before ultimately discovering her passion for interior design.

 

After purchasing her first home in Laguna Niguel, Laurie realized she had a natural gift for color, composition, and creating spaces that feel both cohesive and deeply personal. She went on to study at the Interior Design Institute of Newport Beach, graduating with honors.

 

Early in her career, Laurie worked as a design assistant and buyer for a premier model home company and Ralph Lauren Home, later spending more than a decade with the renowned McKee & Company showroom and design studio in Newport Beach.

 

For over 25 years, Laurie has designed distinctive homes for clients throughout Southern California—including Orange County, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs—as well as select projects in Florida. While many of her interiors reflect a refined California coastal sensibility, her true focus is creating homes that feel timeless, layered, and uniquely reflective of the people who live in them.
